Groupauto International Congress 2022 – Tenerife
Finally LIVE!
After a two-year break, the international congress of one of our long-standing customers from the automotive industry took place again from 10th – 14th October 2022.
Under the motto “Driving to tomorrow”, 350 participants flew to the beautiful Canary Island of Tenerife. The motto for this year’s congress was developed by nice:-), the logo came from our graphic designer. It ran through the entire congress and took all participants on a journey into the future.
The programme started with the arrival of all participants from almost 40 countries at the Hotel Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora on Monday morning.
Our team at the reception desk, supported by 4 Spanish hostesses, ensured a smooth check-in. The first evening kicked off with a social get-together in a typical Canary Islands location, a banana plantation! In the Finca La Calabacera the guests were able to exchange ideas in person again after a long time, in accompaniment with relaxed chill-out sounds and Spanish specialities in the form of flying tapas. There was little need for entertainment – it was all about networking and a great reunion after 24 long months!
The second day started with a relaxed breakfast in the sunny patio of the 5* hotel, with a view of palm trees and blue sky.
The two main congress days always consist of two main meetings and many individual speed meetings, where all countries meet with their suppliers. For this, nice:-) created the perfect location with converted bedrooms in the hotel. These offered sufficient space for intensive discussions in an appropriately discreet atmosphere.
The importance of providing sufficient space – both in terms of time and place – for personal meetings was shown by the response after the first day: the participants were extremely satisfied with the business meetings.
The day was rounded off with an extraordinary Welcome Dinner.
The hotel’s “Infinity Gardens” were transformed into a magical place with light shows. Live cooking stations, including three XXL paella pans, provided culinary highlights! It became especially emotional when, on the occasion of our client’s 30th anniversary, hundreds of sparklers glittered in the hands of the guests and gave the first day a perfect ending!
Wednesday started with a general assembly where all participants gathered in the largest meeting room of the hotel for various presentations and panel discussions. They entered the room through an LED arch and a symbolic illumination – light strips on the floor led along the rows of chairs to the stage, figuratively pointing the way to the future.
A special highlight of the congress is always the gala evening!
Not only are the tastes of the respective regions celebrated here, but awards are also presented and people are honoured.
A brilliant hoverboard show, rousing musical performances in rock style, singers on a motorbike that rode through the guests, a light warrior show and lots of light shows provided the “speed”.
No gala evening without an after-show party – one could almost have thought that the stage would not support the many dancing guests! The feeling of being able to celebrate together again was a source of great emotion for everyone!
With the departure of the last bus shuttle to the airport one day later, the congress on Tenerife came to an end. The official aftermovie with impressions of the congress can now be found on our Youtube channel!
